Osteopathy
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is the science of human bio-mechanics. It involves the careful and specific application of a highly developed sense of touch in both the diagnosis and treatment of structural and mechanical problems affecting any part of the body. This, combined with a detailed understanding of human anatomy and physiology and pathological processes and a thorough examination, allows the osteopath to assess and, where applicable, treat patients to promote the body’s self-healing mechanisms and offer specific advice for self-management.
Acupuncture
Michelle Spicer
Michelle qualified from the renowned College of Traditional Acupuncture in Warwickshire with a BA (Hons) degree in Traditional Acupuncture, accredited by Oxford Brookes University. She also has a diploma in Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage) and a diploma in Qi Gong Teaching.
In addition, Michelle is also a qualified physiotherapist and uses her knowledge and experience of Western Medicine and the NHS to support her work in Chinese Medicine.

Massage
Why massage therapy?
When most people think of a massage, it is as a gentle treatment perhaps to aid relaxation. There is however a more advanced form that is often used to treat many musculoskeletal problems, including headaches, migraines and stress. Many sports people view massage as an essential part of their training, improving recovery times and maintaining muscle health. Massage can help with pain control and be beneficial in promoting well-being and sleep.
Chiropractic
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a profession which offers a package of care which includes manual therapies and a range of approaches for adjusting the bones of the body to improve skeletal alignment. In doing so, it allows your nervous system to work more efficiently, relieves pain and discomfort and increases mobility.

Cranial Osteopathy
What is Cranial Osteopathy?
Cranial osteopathy is a very gentle and subtle approach to the treatment of the whole body, not just the head as the name implies. Diagnosis and treatment through cranial osteopathy is no different to osteopathy. It simply recognises the importance of the subtle mechanics at work in the head and their impact on the whole body.
Throughout life, small amounts of movement occur in the human skull, primarily at joints known as sutures. These are most evident in children as the joints are not yet fused, making them particularly suited to cranial osteopathy. Your osteopath will be able to palpate these small movements which when disturbed may give rise to ill-health. As a result of dysfunction, symptoms may be felt locally or lead to bodywide effects.
Hypnotherapy
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation which allows easier access to the subconscious mind, this assists the process of changing unhelpful behaviour. Once someone is in hypnosis, powerful suggestions and visualisations are given by the Hypnotherapist. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) focuses on our thought processes and our beliefs, it helps to identify ways to change our thought patterns which in turn affects our moods and behaviours. Essentially, we can change the way we think through hypnosis, therefore changing the way we feel. Hypnotherapy can have very powerful results and really change peoples’ lives for the better. There are many issues that could benefit from hypnotherapy; these include stress, anxiety, confidence issues, insomnia, exam nerves, problem-solving, habit-breaking (e.g., smoking, nail biting), phobias, coping skills, and ME/CFS.
